Digital Government Information Point at the Library - Help with questions relating to government matters

Do you have questions relating to government matters? Questions about housing or healthcare allowances, for example, or tax, your driving licence, traffic fines (or other fines), state pension (AOW) or a state benefit? If so, you are not the only one. In fact, you are one of four million people who find this difficult.

For questions like these, you can come to the Digital Government Information Point at the Library. We will help you to find the information you need on the internet and, if needed, refer you to the right local authorities for further assistance.

Government services available online

Many government services can be accessed online, such as:

DigiD
Tax & allowances
State pension (AOW)
Work & benefits
Civic integration
Driving licence
Healthcare
Student grants and loans
Traffic fines
Child benefit
Legal aid
Maintenance

Many of these services are only accessible with a so called DigiD, a code that serves as an online ID (Digital Identification) and that allows you to log onto a variety of government websites.

If the use of this Digid is unclear to you or if you are having trouble using one or severval government websites we can help by pointing you in the right direction.

Practical information

The IDO service is free of charge, also for non-library members. In order for us to most effectively help you we ask that you come to the library in person. This way we can sit down with you and help you find the answer to your question. You don't need to make an appointment.
